Plasma Verruca Treatment

Service Description

A new, almost painless treatment for verruca removal. We use plasma therapy to disrupt the verruca in your skin and promote your body's own immune system to destroy the verruca. Your verruca may take more than 2 or 3 treatments 4 weeks apart, over period of several months to totally disappear depending on the size of the verruca and how long you have had it for. This treatment is suitable for adults and children and is also suitable for warts on hands. If you can't see a suitable appointment time available then please message or call us to book as we may be able to accommodate another time to suit you. FAQ’s- What is a verruca? A verruca is a lesion on the foot caused by a strain of the HPV virus. They can be painful if they appear on points on your foot where you are putting a lot of pressure particularly if they’re large in size. Can you guarantee the verruca will go if I have the plasma treatment? Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the verruca will resolve with the treatment. This is the same of any verruca treatments, due to the verruca being caused by a virus. We are relying on your immune system to recognise it is there and to fight the viral infection. Who is suitable for this treatment? The plasma treatment is suitable for adults and children. Whilst it isn’t a painful treatment like some other verruca treatments, it can be temporarily uncomfortable. This needs to be taken into consideration particularly when deciding if it is the right treatment for your child. We wouldn’t recommend it for clients who are immunocompromised as it is less likely that the treatment would be successful. Will I need any recovery time? The beauty of the plasma therapy is that there is no down time required. Whilst it can be temporary painful it wears off straight away (like a little zap!). There are no dressings required. Will my verruca go of its own accord? As verruca’s are a virus it is your own body that needs to recognise it is there and to fight it off. Once this happens then the verruca will disappear. The purpose of most verruca interventions is to help speed up the process and to kick the bodies immune system in to get rid of the virus. The time in which verrucae take to resolve varies person to person. However generally they clear up quicker in children due to their immune systems being more productive.

Cancellation Policy

We require a non-refundable payment for some of our treatments upfront (new clients only), unfortunately this is due to a number of 'no shows'. If you have any additional treatments during your appointment these will be charged for at the time. Appointments can be re-arranged free of charge if we are given at least 24 hours notice. In the event of a no-show or less than 24 hours notice given to rearrange your appointment unfortunately no refunds will be given. If you are a returning client we also ask that at least 24 hours notice is given to reschedule or cancel your appointment. If this policy is not adhered to then unfortunately we will not be able to reschedule your appointment until payment has been made for the missed appointment first. We appreciate your understanding.
